Protecting manga from wear, dust, and the small types of damage that can appear over time is a common concern for anyone who owns a collection.

Not everyone has the same needs, however. A reader who buys manga to read and keep on a bookshelf may have very different requirements from someone who wants to preserve a collection with particular care or display selected volumes in a special way.

Manga are often items that accompany readers for years.

Whether it is a long series or just a few favorite volumes, over time it is normal for covers to show signs of wear, small scratches, or bent corners.

Many readers underestimate this damage until it becomes visible, but at that point it is difficult to restore the volumes to their original condition.
